Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Pine Branch Red-Crowned Crane

In the spirit of the old studio masters, this Chinese flower and bird painting arranges crane, red-crowned crane, and pine branch across a tall silk ground. Among Chinese botanical wall art, this one stands out for the confidence of its brushwork. The composition reads clearly from across the room and keeps its secrets for close viewing.

Behind the beauty sits meaning: the red-crowned crane, first among symbols of longevity, while the pine, symbol of resilience through winter. The color work is all red tones, laid on over classical brushwork with a steady hand. The mounting silks frame the painting the way a mat frames a Western print. The crane, red-crowned crane, and pine branch are rendered with classical brushwork, while red tones tie the whole scene together.

Try it above a desk, sideboard, or tea table, at eye level where you pass daily. It also makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves Chinese art.
