Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Temple Snow

Temple snow, painted with evident care, anchors this silk hanging scroll. Right away, hazy mountain sets the tone for the whole scroll. For collectors of chinese mountain painting, the mountain alone makes this scroll worth a look.

It is a fine example of brush-and-ink work at its most expressive. Do not miss softly rendered snow, or distant mist tucked nearby. The details reward a second look: softly rendered temple. A hanging scroll like this needs only a nail and a good wall. The brushwork holds up beautifully at close range. It is easy to picture this above a mantel or a reading chair.

It is a natural fit for anyone drawn to oriental home decor, and temple snow is the draw. If your walls already hold chinese brush painting, softly rendered snow will fit right in. In a home office it softens the workday. Let morning tea happen beneath it and thank us later.
