Landscape Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Fisherman Boat Lake

Fisherman boat lake unfolds across silk in this traditional hanging scroll. The first thing that catches the eye is distant mountain. As traditional chinese figure art goes, softly rendered mountain gives this one real presence.

The artist works in brush-and-ink work, building the image from layered washes. Among the finer touches are the lake and a fisherman boat turning its head. The fisherman boat is a symbol of abundance, a meaning every viewer would have known. The traditional presentation needs no frame to look complete. There is a steadiness to it that suits daily life. It has that rare quality of looking better the longer it hangs.

Fisherman boat lake makes this a natural pick for lovers of chinese art wall decor. A thoughtful next piece for anyone collecting oriental home decor, thanks to hazy lake. A welcome addition to any growing art collection. Try it in an entryway, where it sets the tone for the home.
