Landscape Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – House Plum Blossom

Made for the wall, this Chinese landscape scroll painting sets mountain, waterfall, mist, house, plum blossom, and bamboo against silk in layered washes of ink. Seasoned buyers of Chinese mountain landscape wall decor will recognize the practiced hand at once. Washes of layered washes of ink keep the eye moving without ever tiring it.

Look longer and the meaning opens up — plum blossom, the flower that stands for perseverance, and a waterfall dropping in a pale thread. The surface rewards close looking: layered ink washes up close, rich, harmonious color from a step back. The vertical format was designed for walls — it draws the eye upward the way a path climbs a hill. Around mountain, waterfall, and mist, the rich, harmonious color settle into a calm, unified field.

It hangs well beside bookshelves — ink and paper keep good company. It makes a gracious thank-you for a generous host.
